aisma is a vibrant network of 77 firms of accountants throughout the UK who are all specialists in working for doctors.
The association was formed in 1995 and has developed a rigorous qualifying procedure to ensure that aisma accountants are amongst the best advisers available on finance, taxation, practice management, pensions and accounting issues.
aisma accountants act for partnerships, large group practices and single-handed GPs. They now represent in the order of 10,000 GPs in 2,500 practices, as well as locums and salaried GPs and the number is growing. The wide spectrum of specialist topics aisma members provide help and advice which includes GMS, PMS and salaried services, dispensing, outside income, practice based commissioning and tendering for contracts under the Equitable Access to Primary Care Medical Services programme.
By a pooling of statistical data from existing aisma medical practices and ongoing sharing of expertise and knowledge, association accountants have built up a clear picture of just what makes a profitable, well-run practice and they are keen to share their expertise with all doctors and practice managers. |
