June 20, 2016
The Association of Independent Specialist Medical Accountants (AISMA), the national network of accountancy firms specialising in the healthcare sector, has appointed James Gransby and Andrew Pow as members of its executive committee.
Gransby is a partner at the Maidstone office of MHA MacIntyre Hudson where he has a growing portfolio of healthcare sector clients, including GP practices, locum doctors and hospital consultants.
Pow is a partner at Manchester firm Hall Liddy. His specialist areas include appraising the performance of GP practices, changes in GP structures and the NHS pension scheme. He has a particular interest in maintaining rural GP services.
Bob Senior, AISMA Chairman and head of healthcare at RSM UK, said: “James and Andrew bring considerable knowledge and expertise to the AISMA committee and their contribution to the work of the Association will be highly valued. These are challenging times for the healthcare sector and GP practices in particular. AISMA accountants will play an essential role in advising their medical clients as they get to grips with new contractual structures and collaborative working practices.”
